Sponge sky blue around the edge of face. Add grass green inside the blue and bright yellow inside the green. Paint bright red down the nose and finish with white above the top lip.

Add black tiger stripes, twirling a round brush will help this technique.

Finally, add ‘leopard’ spot shapes to the sides of the face. Paint in the muzzle, spots and the black nose. Finish with white blobs to the centre of the large black spots.

Beginners Guide

Use a paintbrush or sponge and create two triangles with white face paint on and above the brow. Tip: use a paint brush to outline the triangle then fill it in with the sponge or use the sponge first and the brush to neaten the edges to create clean shapes.

Next use the sponge to fill in the forehead, centre of the face, cheeks, just below the nose and top lip with orange leaving the bottom third of the face unpainted. If needed use a paint brush again to tidy up the edes and leave the paint to dry.

Once dry, using a paintbrush outline the two sides of each white triangle with black. Add a cute tiger nose with 3 whiskers either side and a line from the nose down to the top lip. Add some small dots just above the top lip and add a few tiger stripes around the face. Another option is to use our Black Brush Pen for easier application with the stripes.

intermediate Guide

Using a sponge or paintbrush create two white triangles going up at an angle from the eye and above the brows. Also create a cat-like mouth shape along the top lip.

Use a sponge for faster and more even application to fill in the rest of the face with orange. Use a paint brush around the white parts to create clean lines between the orange and white. Leave the face paint until it is dry to the touch, this prevents the painting in the next step from mixing with the base we have just painted.

Once the base has dried use black to create a tiger nose following the natural shape at the tip of the nose. Draw a line from just under the nose down and along the top lip and part way around the white on both sides then add several dots in the white part. For the stripes start at the outline of the face and draw the stripes inwards thinning out at the ends. Repeat these stripes around the face.

Advanced Guide

Create a white triangle wth a sponge that goes from the end to part way along the eyebrow and extends to the hairline on both sides. Using the same sponge add a cat-like mouth to the top lip then with a fine paint brush add two large white fangs at either end of the bottom lip.

From the centre of the nose outwards apply a layer of yellow face paint with a sponge, around the border of the face apply a layer of orange face paint. Where the two colours meet blend them together by dapping a clean sponge until they merge together. You can repeat this process several times to get the intensity of colour you would like.

Let the paint dry then using a fine paint brush create the tiger stripes around the face. Start the stripes with a thin line that becomes thicker and then thin again, don't worry about making the stripes match and add random curves. Then colour the nose in black and paint a line that goes down the middle of the lip and around the white face paint, adding little dots onto the white lip.

Take some bright yellow, orange and a sponge and paint the entire face, taking care not to go too close to the eyes.

With a clean sponge, dab some white down the nose and on either side of it, like in the picture. Now with a brush and some black paint, draw three whiskers on each cheek. Finally, paint the end of the nose and add a little line coming down from it towards the lip.

Using a thick brush with black paint, draw two wavy lines that stretch up from either side of the nose to the middle of the forehead. Then add three small stripes in between the lines, like in the picture. Draw two stripes above the eyebrows and two under the inside corners of the eyes. Now add two stripes across each cheek and on the chin. Lastly, paint the end of the nose and add whiskers.

Using a sponge and some yellow paint, cover the face with a butterfly-shaped mask. With a clean sponge, dab some pink at the top tips and bottom corners of the butterfly. Then paint a wide, white triangular shape underneath the nose.

Using a brush, paint one white dot in the middle of the head, just above the eyebrows. Then mix some white with some yellow and paint four further dots underneath the white one. Take a clean brush and some black paint and draw a nose and a line coming down towards the top lip. Then outline either side of the white shape and add some ‘whiskers’.

Add two black stripes underneath each eye and two snaking down both cheeks, from the inside corners of the eyes to the bottom of the face. Add some uneven black tips to the top butterfly ‘wings’. Finally, add some blue paint inside the flower.

Using a sponge with some bright yellow, paint a mask that comes down the cheeks in two points and covers all of the nose. At the top of the mask, add two triangles for ears.

Now use a brush with some white paint to make two smaller triangles inside the ears. Then with a sponge and the same white, gently dab colour down the nose and across either side of it.

This is easier than it looks: take a brush with some black and outline the tip of the ears and the tip of the white inner ears. Then add fur across the very top of the head. Now draw a curvy line around the inner eyes that stretches down the nose and around the white cheeks. Add three black dots on the forehead and three on each yellow cheek. Now draw three mini whiskers on each white cheek. To finish, paint the end of the nose and add some small dots to it.
